FLOWERS, WREATHS AND DECORATIONS:

This year, as every year, the beautiful poinsettia plants, wreaths and flowers that decorate our altars are given in memory of loved ones. Anyone wishing to make a contribution for these decorations may put the FLOWER envelope in any offertory collection.

Canned goods and non-perishable items may be left in the vestibule or brought to the rectory at any time. Hams, chickens, turkey breasts may be brought to the rectory. Monetary donations may be put in any offertory collection marked “Christmas." Through your generosity over 450 needy families were able to eat a Thanksgiving meal.

We are collecting NEW toys to brighten a child’s Christmas. Anyone wishing to donate a NEW toy is asked to bring it to the front of the statue of St. Joseph. It is not necessary to wrap the gift. We ask that you please remember older children and teenagers along with the younger children. If anyone wants to buy a special present for a child, please call the rectory at 889-8441. Through your goodness, we will brighten many a child’s Christmas. God will bless you abundantly for being kind to His children on the day of His Son’s birth. In giving to them, we give to Him.

We are collecting Unused Christmas cards for those in prison to use. If you have any cards, please leave them in the vestibule.

Anyone who would like to prepare a Christmas meal for a needy family is asked to call the rectory at 860.889.8441.

Anyone who would like to adopt a needy family with gifts for children, please call the rectory.

The Hawthorne/Dominican Sisters of Hawthorne, New York, care for the sick and dying at no cost to the patient. Just as last year, we will be collecting articles needed by the patients at the hospital. Please leave articles beneath the statue of St. Joseph. Monetary donations may be put in any offertory collection in an envelope marked “Rosary Hill." Please make checks payable to “Rosary Hill."
